Autorregulación emocional y correlatos neuronales en niños y adolescentes

Resumen

El presente estudio de revisión tiene como objetivo, realizar una investigación en profundidad de los principios y avances teóricos generados por las neurociencias cognitivas y afectivas, además de los aportes de la neuroeducación en la comprensión de los mecanismos implicados en la generación de los repertorios conductuales de autorregulación emocional en poblaciones infantiles y adolescentes. Lo que se hizo a nivel metodológico, consistió en la construcción de una matriz de datos en donde se recogieron miles de artículos científicos de los últimos cuatro años, para contar con una base de datos que permitió la construcción de este manuscrito en el cual se analizan desde una perspectiva neurocientífica, los aspectos más relevantes dentro de la regulación de las emociones desde sustratos neurobiológicos y neuropsicológicos que dieran cuenta de la magnitud y alcances de dicho mecanismo para propiciar la vida social y comunitaria de los seres humanos a partir de las primeras etapas del desarrollo. Este estudio concluye que se hace necesario comenzar procesos de neuroeducación desde el hogar, en donde los padres de familia fortalezcan los mecanismos de autorregulación emocional, para conseguir que, los niños y adolescentes a su cargo, puedan contar con mejores dinámicas sociales y relacionales en sus ciclos vitales de forma adaptativa en todas las situaciones sociales desafiantes o de difícil manejo que puedan encontrar.
