Implications of strategic planning for educational quality in universities: Sistematic Review

Abstract

This study sought to examine the impact of strategic planning on private companies by conducting a systematic literature review of research published in the last five years. A thorough analysis of 33 studies was undertaken to identify the key themes surrounding the use of strategic planning in private sector organizations. The findings underscore the crucial role of strategic planning in fostering customer loyalty, strengthening customer-brand relationships, enhancing brand positioning, and boosting customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, recurring challenges were noted, including insufficient staff training, resistance to change, and inadequate resources.  The active involvement of the entire organizational community, the customization of strategic plans to the unique characteristics of each context, and continuous evaluation are essential elements for successful strategic planning. Moreover, the study underscores the importance of reinforcing transformational leadership and leveraging the potential of information and communication technologies.  In conclusion, strategic planning emerges as a vital instrument for enhancing organizational performance. However, its successful implementation necessitates a holistic approach that accounts for the particularities of each context and the active engagement of all stakeholders. Future studies are encouraged to further explore topics such as evaluation processes, educational innovation, and the influence of digital transformation on strategic planning.
