The role of citizen ethics in conflict resolution and the promotion of peace

The research focused on the role of civic ethics in conflict resolution and the promotion of peace in Ecuador. In the course of the research, it emerged that ethics, based on principles such as empathy, respect and justice, played a fundamental role in effective conflict mediation. The purpose of the research was to understand the relevance of individual ethics in conflict resolution. The scholars conducted an analysis of various Ecuadorian communities, examining the influence of citizens' ethical behaviour on the way in which disagreements were managed and solutions sought. It was found that individuals who exercised robust ethics were more receptive to dialogue and negotiation, which promoted peaceful conflict resolution. This methodology not only contributed to the resolution of immediate problems, but also strengthened social cohesion by cultivating trusting and collaborative relationships among members of the community. In addition, it was underlined that the promotion of a culture of peace was strengthened through the active involvement of citizens in building spaces of understanding and mutual respect. It is evident that positive ethical behaviour contributes to peaceful and sustainable environments. The study concluded by highlighting the need to integrate ethical principles into daily life and public policy to foster more equitable and harmonious societies.
